Terms of Use
Last update: August 23rd, 2026
Welcome to OdoKeep.
OdoKeep is a service provided by Rafael Soares, based in Porto, Portugal (“we,” “us,” “our”).
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account, accessing, or using OdoKeep, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. About OdoKeep
OdoKeep is a vehicle logbook for iOS and Android. It lets you record and follow odometer readings, fuel and cost records, maintenance and services, workshops and places, tags, and the dates and amounts of your insurance, road tax (IUC) and periodic inspection (IPO).
OdoKeep is offline-first: your records are stored on your device and synchronised to our servers, which are hosted by Supabase in the European Union, so that you can restore them and use them on another device.
OdoKeep is not responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and does not provide professional automotive, financial, tax, or legal advice.
Reminders about insurance, road tax (IUC) or inspection (IPO) are a convenience feature. They depend on the dates you enter and on your device settings, and they may not be delivered. You remain solely responsible for meeting your own legal deadlines.
Fuel prices shown in the app are for information only. They come from public official sources that we do not control (DGEG in Portugal, the Ministry for the Ecological Transition's Geoportal in Spain, data.economie.gouv.fr in France, MIMIT's Osservaprezzi in Italy and E-Control's Spritpreisrechner in Austria), they may be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and they are neither an offer nor a guarantee of the price you will pay at the pump. Our server reads each source once a day, so a price on screen can be a day or more old: the app shows when each price was last updated, and that date is what tells you how old the figure is. Nor is every station in every country listed, because some of these sources publish only part of the picture; the app says so for the country you are in. The cost-to-fill figure is an estimate, worked out from a tank capacity and a consumption: the ones held on the vehicle you chose, or ones you typed in yourself on the fuel prices screen, and where you have given neither, an ordinary consumption for that kind of vehicle, which the app marks on screen as an estimate. Check the price at the station before you fill up.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
By using OdoKeep, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
- You will use the Service in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws.
3. Account Registration
To access some features, you must create an account. You can register with an email address and a password, or sign in with Google.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
- Keep your login credentials confidential.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
You are solely responsible for all activities under your account. You may also enable the optional biometric lock (Face ID or Touch ID) to restrict access to the app on your device.
4. Use of the Service
You may use OdoKeep to manage vehicles that you own, use, or are responsible for, whether privately or in your own professional activity.
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for illegal, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
- Copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the Service or any part thereof.
- Interfere with or disrupt OdoKeep’s infrastructure or security.
- Upload viruses, scripts, or any harmful code.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
5. Data and Privacy
Your privacy is important to us.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information on how we collect, use, and store your data, and on the rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
You can export your data (JSON and CSV) and delete your account from inside the app. Deleting your account permanently deletes your garage data. Support messages you have sent us are kept after deletion, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
For data protection requests, write to [email protected].
6. User Content
You may input or import data (for example vehicle details, odometer readings, expenses and notes) into the Service (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of your User Content but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, and process it solely to provide the Service to you, namely to store, synchronise, back up, and restore your records.
You are responsible for ensuring that:
- Your User Content does not violate any law or third-party rights.
- You have the necessary rights to upload and use such content.
7. Sharing a Vehicle with Other People
OdoKeep lets the owner of a vehicle invite other people to it by email. The vehicle then appears in their garage, on their own account, with the role you chose: Viewer (reads the history), Driver (also adds records) or Manager (also manages insurance, inspection, road tax and the vehicle's details).
The terms of that arrangement are:
- The vehicle never changes hands. It stays on your account, and so does everything logged on it, including records added by the people you invited. Removing someone, or their leaving, deletes nothing.
- Five things are always yours alone, at every role: deleting the vehicle, inviting other people, changing a role, removing someone, and changing the vehicle's labels.
- You may change a role or withdraw access at any time, without notice and for any reason. Access ends immediately.
- You are responsible for who you invite. Only invite an address that belongs to a person you actually intend to give this data to. By sending an invitation you confirm that you have a legitimate reason to email that address; inviting addresses you do not know, or using invitations to send unsolicited mail, is a breach of section 4 and we may suspend the account for it. Invitations are rate limited and an unanswered one expires after 14 days.
- Anyone can refuse. A recipient may decline an invitation, may leave a shared vehicle whenever they want, and may switch all invitations off in Settings, under Privacy.
- Inviting needs Plus; being invited does not. The current caps are on the Pricing page. If Plus ends, nobody is removed: the people you invited keep reading the vehicle and stop being able to write to it, exactly as extra vehicles turn read-only.
- We do not mediate between you. What the other person does with access you granted them is between you and them. We provide the roles and the off switch; the judgement about whom to trust is yours.
8. Plans and Features
OdoKeep has exactly two plans:
- Free: 1 vehicle, 3 tags, statistics limited to the last 3 months, and 1 vehicle that somebody else shares with you.
- OdoKeep Plus: up to 5 vehicles, up to 15 tags, full history, cost per kilometre, fuel consumption analytics, sharing each of your vehicles with up to 5 people, and up to 5 vehicles that other people share with you.
We may change the features included in each plan. If a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will give you prior notice and you may cancel before it takes effect.
9. Purchases, Billing and Renewals
OdoKeep Plus can be bought in two different ways:
- Auto-renewable subscription: The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your store account is charged on each renewal.
- Lifetime purchase: a single payment, at the price the store shows for your country before you confirm. This is a one-off, non-consumable purchase. It does not renew and it is not a subscription. It is tied to the store account used for the purchase and can be restored on that account.
There is no free trial for OdoKeep Plus.
Additional terms:
- Billing: all purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their own terms. We never receive or handle your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to check and keep your purchase status up to date.
- Prices and taxes: each country has its own price in its own currency, set in the store, and not a conversion of one euro price. The store shows you the final price for your country, with any tax it collects, before you confirm the purchase. The price we list for each market is on our pricing page.
- Cancellation: you can cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Access to OdoKeep Plus continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Price changes: we may change prices for future periods. Existing subscribers will be notified in advance by the store and may cancel before the new price applies.
- After a plan ends: your records are never deleted because a plan ends, but features above the Free plan limits become read-only or unavailable until you subscribe again.
10. Right of Withdrawal and Refunds
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts under Decree-Law no. 24/2014 of 14 February (in Portugal) and the corresponding rules of your country.
For digital content and digital services supplied immediately, that right is lost once supply begins, provided you gave your prior express consent and acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal. This is what happens when OdoKeep Plus is unlocked as soon as the purchase is confirmed.
Because every purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, refund requests must be submitted to Apple or to Google, who apply their own refund policies. We cannot issue refunds for purchases made through their stores.
None of the above affects your mandatory statutory rights, including the legal guarantee of conformity of the digital content and services supplied. See our Refund & Subscription Policy for more detail.
11. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on the following third parties:
- Supabase: database, authentication, and hosting, in the European Union.
- RevenueCat: subscription and purchase status.
- Apple App Store and Google Play: payment processing for in-app purchases.
- Google: Google sign-in and a network connectivity check.
- Sentry: crash and error reporting.
- OpenStreetMap Overpass API: the optional “find nearby places” lookup on record forms, which sends approximate coordinates derived from a device location fix.
- Frankfurter: foreign exchange rates for currency conversion.
- National fuel price data (DGEG, Portugal; the Ministry for the Ecological Transition's Geoportal, Spain; data.economie.gouv.fr, France; MIMIT's Osservaprezzi, Italy; E-Control's Spritpreisrechner, Austria): the official open data behind the fuel prices feature, read by our server on a schedule and served to the app from our own copy.
We do not use advertising networks or advertising identifiers, and our website sets no analytics or advertising cookies. It stores only your language preference.
We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third parties. Your use of their services is governed by their own terms.
12. Intellectual Property
All content, software, and trademarks related to OdoKeep (except User Content) are owned by or licensed to us.
You may not use our name, logo, or branding without written permission.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, and we make no warranties beyond those required by law, including as to:
- Accuracy or completeness of data.
- Continuous availability or error-free performance.
- Fitness for a particular purpose.
If you are a consumer, this section does not exclude or limit the legal guarantee of conformity or any other mandatory right you have under consumer law.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:
- Use or inability to use the Service.
- Loss or corruption of data.
- Unauthorised access or alterations to your information.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) in the past 12 months.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or wilful misconduct, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer law.
15. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from inside the app.
We may suspend or terminate access if:
- You breach these Terms.
- Required by law or court order.
- We discontinue the Service.
Upon termination, your right to use OdoKeep ceases immediately. We may retain limited data as required by law or as described in the Privacy Policy.
16. Modifications
We may update or revise these Terms from time to time.
Changes will be effective once posted on our website or app. If a change is material and unfavourable to you, we will give reasonable prior notice. Continued use of the Service after updates means you accept the new Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of Portugal, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Porto, Portugal.
If you are a consumer, the above may not deprive you of the protection afforded to you by the mandatory rules of the law of the country in which you have your habitual residence, and you keep the right to bring proceedings before the courts of that country where the applicable law so allows.
18. Dispute Resolution and Consumer Complaints
If you have a problem, please contact us first at [email protected]. We try to resolve complaints directly.
If we cannot reach an agreement and you are a consumer, you may use alternative dispute resolution:
- Alternative dispute resolution entity (Law no. 144/2015 of 8 September, article 18): for the provider’s seat in Porto, the territorially competent entity is CICAP, Centro de Informação de Consumo e Arbitragem do Porto, www.cicap.pt. You may also use the entity competent for your own place of residence. The full list of registered entities is available at www.consumidor.gov.pt.
- European Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
- Electronic Complaints Book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico): www.livroreclamacoes.pt.
Using any of these routes is optional and does not remove your right to go to court.
19. Contact Us

20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Refund & Subscription Policy, and the End User License Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
