This Cookie Policy explains what odokeep.com stores in your browser, and what the OdoKeep app stores on your phone. OdoKeep is a service provided by Rafael Soares, Porto, Portugal.
1. The Short Version
This website sets no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies. Nothing here profiles you, and no third party is given a way to follow you from this site to another one.
The only thing the site stores is the language you chose, so that your next visit opens in the right language. That is also why you never see a cookie consent banner: there is nothing to consent to beyond what is strictly necessary to show you the page you asked for.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Some are strictly necessary to make a site work or to remember a choice you made. Others, which this site does not use, exist to measure audiences or to track people across different websites.
3. What This Site Actually Stores

Both are set by this site alone, contain nothing but the preference itself, carry no identifier, and are never read by anyone else. EU and Portuguese rules require consent before storing information on your device, except where that storage is strictly necessary to provide a service you explicitly asked for. Remembering the language and theme you picked falls inside that exception, which is why you are not asked to consent.
4. What This Site Does Not Use
To be explicit, because earlier versions of this page said otherwise:
- No Google Analytics, no Firebase Analytics, and no other analytics or audience measurement of any kind.
- No advertising cookies, no ad identifiers, no retargeting pixels. OdoKeep sells no advertising.
- No social network pixels or embedded tracking widgets.
- No cross-site tracking and no device fingerprinting.
- No cookie consent banner, because none of the above exists to consent to.
5. Third Parties
The pages of this website are served as static content and do not load third-party scripts that set cookies.
Links to the App Store and to Google Play take you to Apple's and Google's own sites, which have their own cookie and privacy policies once you arrive there.
A private administration area of this site, which is not reachable from the public pages and exists only for the developer, uses a strictly necessary session cookie set by Supabase, our authentication provider, purely to keep that sign-in alive.
6. What the App Stores on Your Device
The OdoKeep mobile app is not a website and does not use cookies at all.
It is offline-first, so your garage is written to storage on the phone itself and stays usable in airplane mode: vehicles, odometer readings, fuel and cost records, obligation dates, tags, your sign-in session, and your preferences such as language, theme, units and currency. That local store syncs to our database when you have a connection.
This is device storage, not tracking. It is described in full in the Privacy Policy. You can export everything you have to JSON or CSV from inside the app, and deleting your account from inside the app hard-deletes your garage data.
7. Managing What Is Stored
In your browser, you can block or delete cookies and local storage for odokeep.com at any time, in the browser's own settings. If you delete the language cookie, the site simply falls back to your browser's language and you can pick again with the language switcher. Nothing else stops working.
On your phone, deleting the app removes the local store from the device. Deleting your account, from inside the app, removes your garage data from our servers.
8. Updates to This Policy
If this site ever starts using anything beyond what is described above, this page is updated first and, where consent is legally required, it is asked for before anything is stored.
